WLuke,
The 50-260 is a full fledged cabinet saw, with more HP. Its just a beast, so much cast iron, you could tell it was made to last. Its probably unfair to compare the 50-260 with the G0715, really two different saws. I looked at a 50-200R as well and I didn't like the rails it had (I did like the dust collection inside it though), but it is a better comparison with the G0715 as they are similar in power. If you are local to Canada can't you get the real General saw's (the one with the maple leafs on them) or are they as expensive up there as they are here in the states?
I would have liked my G0715 had it not had alignment issues. The 50-260 that I have now growls and exudes power, where as the G0715 just kinda purred like a kitten. If you are going to look at a better comparison to the 50-260 your going to have to jump up to the 1023's - those are 3HP cabinet saws.
