Like many others, my workshop is a 2 car garage…with 2 cars in it. I vowed to myself when we bought our house, that I would never let my garage get to the point where I couldn’t get 2 cars in it. (with the exception of the occasional large projects that require space for a short period of time.)
Sounds like a good plan…and surprisingly after 8 years in the house, the plan is still holding strong. All my tools are modular so that I can slide them off to the side or rotate them onto the top of my bench when in use. So making my jigs all screw to and fit the same base has worked well to allow me lots of versatility in a small space.
It is nothing special, for sure….but it works.
I strategically took these pictures immediately after I completely gutted and cleaned the garage….I mean….it always looks this clean!
Can you find the 100 year old brick sitting on my bench top? It is a brick from the original surface of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
