If anyone is in or near west LA, my local plywood shop is having one of their quarterly swap meets tomorrow morning (Feb 20th, 2010). Here’s a page on the details:

http://www.andersonplywood.com/swapmeet.htm

Might not be very big by some standards, but it looks like a pretty big deal for west LA. The woodworking community exists, but is pretty hidden here somewhere behind or underneath trendy clothing and juice shops.

Looks like a nice event. Post some photos if you get anything nice.

Looks like it would be pretty cool. Wish there was something like that around me. Looked at the history page of it a real shame that “Old Tools” does not stiill exist that looked like a great store where one could more then likely find all kinds of treasures.

Hope you get some good scores.

I had a great time, but didn’t buy anything. I’m on a very tight budget these days until I finally find some work again. I’ll post some pics in a few.

bigfish – I didn’t get over there until about 11, and they wrapped up a little before 12. Were you there that late?

The better half and I were there about 9 – 10. Didn’t buy anything. Saw a Stanley no 7 that was really priced well. I saw one Stanley folding rule that almost became part of the collection. There were a lot of nice stuff, but nothing I HAD to have. See you next quarter.
