Hi Andy, That is a heck of a shop you got there buddy, the best I have ever seen i think. A place for everthing and everything in its place.

Unfortunately I am at work when I watched your vid so had to have the commentary muted. Are you a hobby WW or does this form part of your living.

You're a lucky guy . Thanks for showing.

Bently - I wish that were true! I too still have to work for a living. Anyone with a phone can change my plans for the day in an instant at any hour of the day/night/weekend/holiday. That is just the facts of life of an equine veterinarian. Thanks for the kind words. My new signature came from my frustration with some of our clients. If it werent for LJ they would drive me nuts!

Andy, I just got around to checking out your operating room. When are you going to build a shop? lol
The way you have your shop laid out, it looks more like a tray of surgical instruments. lol Confidentially I think you got brain washed in vet school. lol I've seen organization, but you put the cherry on top. I love it!!!

I see you are next door to Broken Arrow. Slap a couple of my cousins and say howdy for me. Their last name is Hall.

Rand - My office is in BA and I lived there for a lot of years until we bought the new place 16 years ago. It is only 10 minutes from the clinic in BA. I checked out your shop. You have some NICE toys but I'd have to put up more lights and paint everything white so I could see. Thanks for the comments. Andy

great video andy, it looks to me that you have everything you need to build fine furniture. i must say that you are the most organized woodworker in the world and i would hire you in a heartbeat to get my shop in order, nobody in my shop puts stuff away where it belongs and i am always searching for lost tools i would even buy you a custom whip to keep the guys in line when they dissregauard your organization . i love your beaver pelt, i trapped beavers, fox, muskrats, mink in north dakota where i grew up just to make ends meet at one point in my life. the only thing i can fault is how you store your lumber, go vertical, if you go to any hardwood yard the lumber is horizontal in unit form but when stored its always vertical because gravity has little effect on it and your boards will stay straight. other than that its a perfect setup and i would love to visit your shop and do some work with you.

Andy, I just viewed your shop video, I got tired just watching you walk through it. LOL Nice shop I noticed you were in OK, I lived in Muskogee for a couple years during my teenage area 16 - 17 back in the mid 70s but being honest there was no love lost moving away from OK I'm going to let you keep it. :) I sure don't miss the 10' snow drifts up against the house either. LOL

I saw talk a few post up about working, I was fortunate that I was able to retire at the age of 50 after 25 years of service and that's been two years ago this month.

Yes, I am blessed with a great shop. It was the former owner's cabinet shop so I didn't build it. I just CLEANED it up, painted, and modified it to suit my needs. Right now I am REALLY proud of the furnace!

I don't think I'd ever leave a shop like that. They'd have to drag me out, unless I needed to go get more screws.
You always have to get more screws.

Andy,

Very nice video of your shop. The video is much better than still pictures. You have a lot of room and it is very well organized. It takes a long time to get a shop organized and when you buy a new toy there is more stuff to organize around it.

Your boxes are beautiful too.

Cheers,

Marty
