Location: Auburn, Ne
Website:
Well in the last year I got free from the Navy's stronghold and am now living in Auburn, Ne and working at Cooper Nuclear Station. I spent 8 years and 1 month in the Navy as a Nuclear Machinist Mate and am now working as a Station Operator at Cooper. I grew up in Glenwood, Ia and joined the Navy at 20, I am now 28 and loving life back in the real world. My wife's name is Samantha, I met her in the Navy. I have a son named Christian who will turn 2 on May 3rd, we are also expecting another (boy?, girl?) in either Sept. or Oct. We will find out soon the exact due date and sex in the next couple weeks.
Now about the wood. I am a rookie who has been diddle dallying around for the last couple years with the help of my wife and her wonderful gifts. She is the main reason I have decided to make woodworking my hobby of choice. Honey Do at the fullest!!!! Soon after my son was born I made a toy chest that is now giving me the hint that it needs a little repair work. In the next couple months we plan on doing a full renovation of the basement. I am currently getting ready to build our entertainment center for the basement and in the next couple weeks we will be buying paint and carper. I plan on doing all the work myself with of course my pregnant wife's criticism and help.
Finally I Love this Website and have found myself aimlessly wandering through the projects admiring the beauty of others minds. And I want to thank you all for motivating me to have some fun with sawdust. Beware though, most of my work will be through recycling and reclaiming what others toss. It's starting to drive me nuts how wasteful we are.
