Finally my search is over

Finally after almost 9 months of being unemployed, I am rejoining the ranks of the employed as of Monday morning. I lost my job back in January as part of a major cutback at my old company. I took some time to myself and puttered around, spent alot of extra time with my kids over the summer to the point that they don’t want to see me now….teenage girls you know. I also took some time and went to spend it with my mom, just her and I. But over the past two weeks I had been interviewing for a position and they called today at 12:45 and my unemployment came to an ABRUPT end.

I start Monday morning as a Manufacturing Supervisor concentrating on welding and metallurgy

Great for you. I’m happy for you, there still are jobs, if you are lucky enough to find them. You give others hope.

Congratulations, Grant. I am sure it does feel good to be back working again and getting paid for it. I am sure you can use the job with teenagers in the house.

As being a man who’s now retired after many many years of very long hours and hard work ( self inflicted as I was self employed) I can say having time free is wonderful and I wouldn’t like to change that again in my lifetime now.In any case with my health I couldn’t, but I take my hat off to you sir and hope with greatest sincerity you find happiness and very full reward in your new career .All the best wishes Alistair
