Location: Spring Texas

I finally got the pic up after being here for awhile now. I haven't posted yet but will be soon I hope. Need some help from the computer literate kids.
I really love this site. I spend literally hours looking at posts and reading blogs and reviews. There is a lot of inspiration here.
I've been woodworking for many years now. I'm mostly self-taught but have had a couple of classes through wood working stores. I do a lot of reading as well, magazines and books.
I've done a lot of turning over the years including 100's of pens, as well as bowls, lamps, some lidded boxes , and other things as well. The biggest project I've done over the years were some book shelves for a friend that were floor to ceiling and corner to corner in his den. Don't remember the dimensions but they were massive.
My current interest is box making and I love seeing all the boxes here at LJ's. I search for new ones everyday.

Shop time is scarce these days however. I'm working 2 jobs (one is part time at Lowe's. More about that later...great bennies for a wood worker). We also have a wedding coming up soon and that takes up a bit of time. One of my daughters.

Anyway, I'm glad to be here and I'll be posting as soon as possible.
Thanks, Mike

Welcome to Lumberjocks. The projects are an inspiration, the information is priceless and the people are supportive. The only problem is, the site can get addictive.

God Bless

Hi there,
Welcome to LumberJocks… I joined the site myself a few months ago and will give you fair warning, this site is VERY ADDICTIVE, VERY EDUCATIONAL, and VERY FUN…. so sit back, enjoy the ride and learn from the other LJ’s as they are a group of extremely talented people that are also very friendly…

Enjoy your time here on LJ and pass the word to any of your woodworking buddies about us…

Thanks Ken. My girl’s about 4 1/2 years old. It’s a great breed. For Labs, life’s a party and they’re eternally optomistic.
