I found an old cabinet and door maker about 20 miles from me who had stored shorts and remnants from 20+ years of carpentry. Think of a dozen solid walnut and mahogany doors before glue up in a crate. All pieces are 1.25 inches thick planed and straight as an arrow. Don’t have a bf calculation yet but it will be years of wood for smaller projects. :) He as about 100 of these crates if anyone is interested…arlington, TX.

I have been there a couple of times, I hope someone does not just offer him a flat rate for everything and turn it into firewood!

Quite an amazing site, the door maker never threw anything away and boxed all his scraps up.

I live in the Houston area but my sister lives in Dallas. I would love to be able to get some of this scrap to make some small projects. Could you give me the name of the place and the contact information. I will have to talk my sister and her husband into making a trip to arlington for me.

I am in Oklahoma City, but I might make a quick trip to Texas for some of that! Can you send me some details?

Thanks for the craigslist posting. I am hoping to get some of this lumber over the July 4th weekend.

Have your say...
