I remember when my dad took me with him and he bought a almost complete wood shop from an old man who had to sell house and go into a nursing home. My dad and built the woodshop in the basement with barely any head room. We moved and we had this large garage. He had his own contracting business and I worked for him no matter what. We could have a bad day and be each other yet at night after dinner the both of us would be out in the shop joking or doing whatever. Jigs, cleaning or any type of project till we were ready to fall asleep. Mom would come out to chase us in before the police. Dad started having problem. and I told him not sell any tools cause I would buy them from him. He passed away and my mom kept the machines. Now I bought my house with a garage and started my shop. Every time I do something at my mom's house she gives me one of the machines for helping. She saw the shop and said dad would have loved hanging out there. Most of my machines are third generation and doing good. some are new. I love going out in there shop because I can get away from the world and enjoy a simple project.

Welcome to Lumberjocks. The projects are an inspiration, the information is priceless and the people are supportive. The only problem is, the site can get addictive.
God Bless
