”BET of B’reyshit”

....no composition of canvas is ever truly blank of it impression,
just as the piece of wood i now gouge at,
is but an ongoing story of mine own waundering digression,
into the face of artistic expressions of imagination….

—-as i stared into the heart of your compounding existence,
there was my deep sense of passion which you extolled,
where from this before my beginning experience with persistence,
you have placed me on a pedestal for all to behold….

—-in the beginning B’reyshit of all creation,
i blew my breathe upon you as a rolling thunder,
while in that moment of dual expression came the formation,
where the image of my-self is a birthed ‘wood art’ wonder… —by flp

Thought I would post the start of the inner workings of an up and coming ‘freeform’ sculpture in ‘wood art’ that I have started on this past week. From time to time I will give some updated posting of this piece and a continuation of the poetic heart lyrics that are spoken as time passes on.

I had to work on hauling this one up to the third floor of the barn in order to make way for a more heavy and bulky piece I am bringing in to the lower floor of my workspace. Have started with timber chisels and wood rasps as I am removing protruding pieces of wood that bear no-need to the image of what shall yet be.

In case your wondering….’Bet’ happens to be the first letter of the Hebrew Bible and as such, is placed at the very beginning of the Torah, just as “B’reyshit” deals with the creation….

....and so this is how they start….
