Wood and Steel Make Harmony this flurry of early mornings glow light, there is the remembering of last nights latish work light, as i sat my mind in fever of airt, so as to satisfy this passion of burning fire….

—-oh burn thou well o fire within my soul, as i am transformed in shifted images of where i go, be thou my souls guiding light and i will take thee close to me, since from the heart of man i have burst this cage that held me in….

—-a freeman’s song is but the howlin’ of coyote wind, as i sat before the den of thieves from woodlands garnered past, but that was then just as now my sweetness of wooded breath, is the lathered sweat of working to the tune of my blues all well planed….

Getting inspiration is knowing that this ‘one’ can come without an invitation, so I am all-ways ready to open the door when hearing that knock and in so doing I let my imagination take to flight.

And so this one came late last night, ha….going down stairs to feed the wood stoves and then off to dreamland for the night I was drawn up short by pictures flooding my head, as I thought of….

So then it was off to get my camera and do a fast photo finish of some pieces laying around. Well that’s what you get for thinking, since by the time I was done with all, it was knocking on times door of close to midnight. Well what’s one to do, but just sit back and enjoy the fruits of imagination and give thanks!

This one is not so much about how I did the carved wood of the wood knot or the sculptured wood piece and is not even about gouges or knives. These photos are only here to show harmony, the how of wood, plus steel, all fit together to play a part in ‘wood art’....if you like, then enjoy!!!

....with shadows….

....and without….

....and so the story tells it’s own….

....tale of what can be…

....if I can but listen and hear the sound of ‘wood art’....

Thanks for looking and if you want….well feel free to dream awhile!

That is great Frank. It is amazing how someone can see and describe art in such simple things as wood and steel. The wood does not talk to me like that yet.
