I Am Seeing WoodWorking Goodness
....woke up this morning seeing all things as ‘very good’,
i’m a worker of wood,
got a head full of ideas that are ‘very good’,
i’m a worker of wood,
my opinions are mine which i shape by hand as ‘very good’,
i’m a worker of wood,
there’s plenty of wood joinery to do as ‘very good’,
i’m a worker of wood….
—-soon out to the barn of my work-space i shall go,
to start heating up some work-able area of my habitat,
and yes there’s that piece of curly maple waiting for inset mortises,
as i also exercise my mind and hands as a worker of wood….
—-giving thanks is what makes my day so full-filled,
where wood and i are likened as one in the language we speak,
we think together on what is good in this forest of now,
i’m still thank-full i’m a worker of wood….
....yesterday’s wood working is placed in a file called done,
tomorrow’s wood working has not yet come,
only the wood working i do for today is what shall last,
i’m so glad and thank-full to know other’s who are worker’s of wood….
....and so today I shall go and work on some legs of wood….and some curly maple….
Thank you.

Frank

Well said, Frank. Each day is a gift. One in which hopefully we can choose to share our commonality of respect for wood and the joys with which wood endows us.
Thanks for the post.

You are also a “worker of words”.
Thanks!

....hmmmmm; ’worker-of words who lives by working-the-wood he finds in the woods ’....
In answer to your question Greg, well at least the snowing has slowed down somewhat. Walked out of my barn Saturday night and walked up to a cabin I’m working on above us,to retrieve a square I had left up their from Fridays work. Well next thing I know is I’m slipping and sloshing through mud up there….mud seasons coming, but better than snow.
My many thanks to all who commented and for your comments I can only say….,
Thank you.

Frank
