Kokedera Temples in the Woods

And so while on my way to work yesterday morning, I decided to do a drop off from the mainframe of time and go for a short walkabout. Haha,....I really have to laugh at myself now in what I just said, since who ever heard of a ‘short’ walkabout? I sometimes read the stories of Aborigines and how the young men start this feat while yet young ….and will often go for months at a time.

Anyways getting back to my story and trying to not be distracted….so I left my machine and grabbed the camera and set out to do a walkabout, out of time or time before time in my ‘dreamtime’. Some times on these side trips my mind is inputting information faster then my camera and so over the years I have trained my mind to record the thoughts that come from the images, which I will later re-write as I bring forth those thoughts on paper. Yesterday was very fruit-full for me in this regard and so I now pass along some of those thoughts, along with the images that beheld them….which makes me wonder as to what size of file load I’m carrying inside my head, since I long ago went to using ‘zip files’....so what comes next, external memory cards….LOL

....”he who follows a stream of running water, will never be left in the quagmire’s of yesterdays thought”....

....”better is the wisdom of little leaves beside many waters that sing forth color, then where the multitudes of masses go to gawk upon temples made with hands”....

....”all that gaze upon the rock, are not the all of those who graze upon the rock”....

....”leaving off the trail of often tracked individuals, is the response of an upward pull that often calls me home to time before time”....

....ah yes, these are my favorites….”Kokedera Temples in the Woods”....moss temples of the gods and shared by the gods with any who would want to enter….

....the giving of thanks, is what lifts my heart out of the hum-drum of daily social workings, and causes my spirit to rise above this body of mind, where were it not for work to yet be done, i would gladly trade off and stay up hither….

....now on top, my spirit starts to graze on the beauty of all….in this allness of completed thought, i am the all that i am….

....”man makes temples with his hands, but the gods offer up temples of spirit as offerings to all”....

....well it’s time to start back down, and in my passing along the way, I find this most wholly chair to sit and offer a meditation of all that is good, while thinking upon the all of who I am….it’s for times such as this that my ‘shakuhachi’ awaits to break forth in praise….

....tracking downward now I descend backward into the modes of time….

....the well traveled path is not my desire, but upon these paths are many who pass me by, who often disappear long before I have reached their footsteps….these are the stories of those who come and go as they please….

....one more till we meet again, “how often we see in a glass mirror darkly, never understanding the what we are seeing, till one comes forth out of the shadows and tapes us on the shoulder, that it’s time to awaken from our sleep”....

Thank you.

Great pictures. I’m visiting a friend in Michigan and went out yesterday through some nice woods. There is something magical about being surrounded by fall colors.
