Singing Wood Stories
….silence in this place of where i work,
is but the pause of in-between wood fractures,
that repel any outward sign of talk commodities,
as the gouge moves incessantly along a dreamweaver’s path….
—-did i say i live to create my ‘wood art’,
or has this creation of something bigger then i,
be-come the sculptor of one such as i,
whereas the creation now be-gats the formation of who i am….
—-my imaged likeness is constantly being moved around,
the larger circle of dreams as role playing models,
wherein the sculptured wood piece had it’s beginning of art,
long be-fore in the volumes of trees that live to inspire….
—-can i now ‘inspire’,
and what is an inspiration of singing wood stories,
if one cannot but stop to feel that life within the wood,
just as my hands feel the words as they push these steely eyed knives….
—-art comes in many shapes and forms,
just as the artist feeds their mind at the enlightened path of what is seen,
and herein lies one hurdle that must be crossed,
since not all will see where you have been….
—-can i interpret for you of what this wood is saying now,
and what would be your re-action to hearing the words that i have heard,
might it not just be better that what i create in silence,
stays in silence till i have passed on beyond the veil that so separates….
” breaking dawn comes bearing a greeting for the kings to arise,
and so these walk forth into the light of day,
where round table discussions have not much meat in the thick of battle,
knowing all so soon that evening comes as i rend the veil ”
—-my hands are much nobler now,
since these fingers still bear a strength that caresses wood,
and so i smile within my-self for such a time as this,
as this lady before me welcomes and calls me by name….
....’sainted agrestic’ is the before beginning of all i am,
just as this lady calls my name to inspire the remembering of all the art,
that has passed this way before my eyes,
and then comes the knowing of hearing giving birth to art….
”....from where i sit as now, this form of art that i have be-come, is but the all-ready workin’ of worked right out, as by this form of sculpture i create ‘wood art’….”
