I had a great experience with Shop Vac today.

My basement flooded last year. It was pretty bad. I was doing fine until late on sunday night. Then the water started coming in. I couldn’t keep up with the in flow. Home Depot was out of any kind of pump. My little drill pump fried.

The lowes near me are closed on sunday (local BS), so monday morning I was there at 0530. I managed to snag a couple sump pumps and a great shop vac with a built-in pump. Great vac, BTW.

Anyways, now to the good part. Over the winter I was shifting things in the basement and managed to break off the hose connector for the pump’s outflow.

I called shop vac trying to find a replacement part but it isn’t a customer replaceable part. I was thinking I’d get by with some epoxy and a prayer. But the CS lady at shop vac said no. They’re shipping a whole power assembly (the top piece with the motor) to me!!

All I can say is, they rock! There is no way I’ll even consider a craftsman or rigid vac after this.

Just call me Mr. Shop Vac.

I have always had good luck with Shop Vac vacuums. Have never needed their customer service department. It’s good to know that they like to take care of their customers.

They are great. I had a vac that the motor went out on, just went up in smoke. Only had it about 2 months. I called Shop Vac and told them what happened. The guy says ” Our motors never go out. I’ll get you a new one in the mail today, no charge.” That is great customer service! Of course if they had told me it was going to be $40 bucks for a new one, I’d probably be on hear griping about how lousy the service is.

Happy endings are always appreciated. There are some good Manufacturers out there, I’ll add ShopVac to my list of go to guys.

It arrived in today’s mail. Two days to get to me. I am very impressed.

GOOD to hear- customer service is alive and well @ Shop Vac——too many companies have lost their touch in solving a customers problems.
PASS the word on Shop Vac – they deserve a little attention for handling flinks problem.

I think you should Post a review of the VAC in the Tool Reviews section. Ignore this if you have already…

I didn’t think about reviewing it. That’s a great idea. I will take some time and do a nice one.
