Hi,

Hopefully there are some festool addicts with CT’s who’d like to expand their dust collection activities, or maybe just some regular people (that was a joke) who use a decent shop vacuum as their dust collector.

Shop-Vac has a price reduction for their Sawdust Collection System. It has a bunch of stuff:

http://www.shopvac.com/detail.asp?id=393

  • (8) 36” clear PVC collection tubes
  • (6) Vacuum gates
  • (5) Tube couplings
  • (3) 45° elbows
  • (4) Tee-y fittings
  • (2) 90° elbows
  • (10) Mounting clamps
  • Mounting hardware
  • Now $39.99! Was $127.99
  • Collects sawdust from woodworking machines
  • Modular, wall mount design fits any workshop
  • Attaches to any vac with 2-1/2” hose
  • Easy-to-clean

I bought one. To use with my shop-vac and with my ct-33. I hope someone reads this :-)

-- Made lots of sawdust and pounded some nails. Haven't finished anything, though.

I bought a similar system @ Home Depot made by Ridgid. Sure wish I had seen this information first. This one has twice the blast gates any “y’s” for half the price.

Thanks Flink.

I will have to look into it as well.

Stuff like this makes me happy my shop vac broke! Nothing serious. Just the water pump outlet.

I’m really considering buying a second dc kit. I’m really liking my ct33, but I don’t want to move it around (tight quarters).

That’s a great deal. I needed a little system for all my benchtop sanders. This will work great.
I’ll just use it with my regular dust collector and leave a gate open somewhere.

Thanks for posting this. I went on there last night (5/10/13) and bought the set for only $29.99. The blast gates alone are listed at $5.99 each, so this set is a great deal.

Have your say...
