« Part 2: Surfacing Lumber Part 3 of Projects series no next part

Today I’ll glue up the dresser top and that will be the last solid top that I have to glue up. I have cut all the drawer fronts to rough size as well so far. Now I’m waiting to get more wood. In the mean time I’ve been experimenting with my hand plane that I got for Christmas and I also got a Porter Cable Dovetail Jig yesterday, so I can play around with that until I get more wood. I would like to do half blind dovetail joints for the drawers. Then I’ll have to learn how to install some under drawer drawer slides. Until then, I can make some more jigs and practice with the dovetail joints.

If anyone is reading this, I’ve started to wonder how to finish this project. I have a finishing book that I read from time to time, but I was wondering if anyone has any input on what they would use?
