Today was a slow day as far as shop time goes. I did manage to finish cutting the rabbet in the back of a frame for a Rosary which we will display in the church next week. The frame is made of red oak and is roughly 3’ by 5’. I still have to attach the back to the frame and add hardware to hang it with. That should happen tomorrow or Wednesday. Pictures will follow once I get it done.

This is the first time I’ve worked with fabric and it turned out to be fairly tricky. Had to stretch fabric over some plywood to make a nice background. It’s like upholstery without the foam part. Pretty tricky and I”m not completely happy with the results but others say it looks OK to them so I’m leaving it alone.

we are our own worst critics. If everyone else likes it go with it. The key to woodworking is to have fun with it.

How my old brain gets sidetracked! Nearly 90 days since I posted anything – I don’t know where the time goes.

I have started a project to build a TV Stand/Entertainment Center to house our flat screen TV. I’m using Red Oak and Oak plywood in this project. I’ve cut the plywood into the panels needed and have nearly finished milling the QS oak for the other parts.
