For now I only have one picture but I’ll be sure to clean up and take another when I get some time.

My shop is half of a two car garage. I’ve built it up over the past year mainly buying tools on clearance or on craigslist.

I’ve only completed a few projects in the past year but I feel I am progressing fairly well. I’ve also spent a lot of time building shop storage and furniture. The next year I will have much more time to build furniture as the storage is all put together now.

I’m still missing a bandsaw and a a good power / oscillating spindle sander. Not having a bandsaw is really limiting some of what I can make. I plan to get one one day soon. I also wouldn’t mind upgrading my table saw to something with better dust collection and bigger table.

A bandsaw is on my #1 list also. I like your window coverings to keep prying eyes out. I need that also…......

Dan, it looks like you have put together a pretty nice shop. The windows are a big plus in my book since it looks like you get quite a bit of natural light in there from them. Thanks for letting us take a look at your shop.

The windows do help with light. I do most of my work at night though after work so they are not as useful as they could be. The one perk to the windows is open them up and throw a fan in there and I get great airflow to get rid of paint smells and other airborne nasties.

There is another set of windows on the opposite side of the garage as well. so I can generate an air current from one side of the garage to the other without opening the garage door.

I live right on the main street so opening the garage door shows all of my goodies to everyone else around and I’m not a big fan of that.

The anti-fatigue flooring is colored because its from my girlfriend. She used to be a teacher but has since been out of work and had no use for the flooring. I will say that the stuff saves my back so I really don’t care if it looks like Sesame Street. Its also easier to see things you dropped on the bright colors.

I will definitely post some more pictures when I get a chance. I setup a roku and a tv in the corner so I can have music or watch some netflix on days when I act like I’m doing something in the shop and just need a break from being inside.

You have a nice looking shop, Dan. It looks like you have enough room and some good equipment.

Thank you very much. It has taken me a year to get to this point. Now I just need to organize and find a better way to store equipment. One day I really want to get a bandsaw. I just don’t know where to put it.
