The 7×8 lean-to shed is going to be delivered tonight. This is a simple but sturdy Amish built shed with a roof that is about 6’ at one side and 5’ at the other. We plan on having between 10 and 15 chickens to free range and rid our yard of ticks, since my husband has been afflicted with lyme disease. Part 2: reciprocating saw fatigue

The shed to be remodeled into a chicken coop was delivered Monday night. It is the yellow one in the front. The guy who delivered it had a neat little trick by lowering it on pvc pipe so that he could move it around and turn it 90 degrees. Very simple, yet very effective. It ended up being exactly where I needed it. On Thursday I took the day off to work on the modifications, since our weekends are pretty much taken with packing for the move at this point in time. Part 3: Routing and painting

Today I had some time in between activities and I decided to give my new router table a try. I got a 1/4” rounding over bit and decided to give the new poplar chickencoop windows some nice detail at the front. After doing that I sanded with 60 grit and gave them a first coat with Kilz. After we came back in the afternoon I sanded again with 120 grit and gave them a second coat.
