I'm an artist -- when I'm not working for salary, anyway -- and I've segued into working with wood as part of my art. I began working with wood in mid-2008 (recently :) ), and am currently planning to focus on designing and building furniture and smaller wood projects (the usual boxes, among other things), carving, and incorporating wood into my mixed-media sculptures.

Welcome to Lumberjocks. The projects are an inspiration, the information is priceless and the people are supportive. The only problem is, the site can get addictive.
God Bless

I have to say, after having been active on the internet for over a decade, and on-line long before that (GeNIE, BBS’s), this site is by far the most sociable and welcoming I’ve ever encountered. Thanks for the great introduction! I look forward to spending time here, in between shop excursions, studio work, and tending to my horde of screaming minions (and, of course, long-suffering wife Smile).
