I have a long history in framing carpentry. When I was a kid I "helped" my father build our first 2 houses. Later I joined the army and became a combat engineer.
In late 2007 I decided to try turning on my lathe. I had bought it several years earlier planning to make leather chess pieces (I am also a leather artist and want to combine leather with box making). I was hooked rather quickly. Last summer my father gave me his woodworking shop and I am discovering the joys of flatwork.
My biggest project was the workshop I built at our last home. 18'x20' on a crawlspace. The masonry work took me FOREVER!!
