A few weeks ago, I got a message from Sheila asking for my home address… and promising not to stalk me if I gave it to her. Knowing how delightful Sheila is on LJ and in our PMs, I sent it along to her. Yesterday I found out why she was interested in my home address… this arrived in the mail!

It is particularly moving to me as I am a pediatric nurse practitioner and the little green guy with the teddy bear will be a hit among the little kids. So… to Sheila, a great big THANK YOU!! And to all the wonderful LJs who send each other random gifts, you have begun a tradition here that makes us all proud to be woodworkers and LJs. This is the real meaning of goodness and kindness in this world. And, this is a world that could use some kindness about now.
Keep it coming!
And again… thank you Sheila!

I said it earlier this week and I’ll say it again – nice to see the true spirit of LJ still stands strong.

as for posting a pic direct in the post just click the “img” tag to add a picture to the post, then select “from the web” which will open an address input box – put the photobucket link in there, and click “add to post”

Hi Ellen, that is just so sweet and thoughtful. I have watched one of Sheila’s videos and she really is delightful.
So from one delightful person to another.

Wonderful characters, and Sheila made that overbandaged person look happy. Is this a pin, or in plain American, what are its dimensions? Thank you for sharing and spreading a little more happiness around.

With all the hate being spewed on the news and through the political process….it is great to see that kindness and consideration still exist. Thanks for the uplift and for sharing it with us.

I just want to say to you Ellen that you are very welcome. Last year when I had a bad reaction to some bug bites, Ellen stepped up and gave me some great helpful suggestions. I remembered that she is a nurse and I thought that this little mummy was quite appropriate to give to her as a way to say how much I appreciated it. I am happy that this little guy brought a smile to your face, and I hope he continues to do so for others who may have to visit you when they are not feeling so well.

Take care and thanks again! Sheila (((HUG)))

I agree, the true spirit of LJ still stands strong! I am sure the kids will like it too Ellen.

I recently asked Shelia about a pattern that wasn’t on her site yet. She told me it would be up soon. I ordered it a few days later online using the download version. She responded to my ordered the next day saying she was gong to send it complimentary, just hadn’t gotten to it yet. No problem, i don’t mind supporting LJ vendors ;-)) Especially Shelia!!
