I am primarily an oil painter but i like to do some wood carving every once in a while. Lately, have been carving some canes..mostly eagle heads and others types. Recently, I bought a banksia pod and was wondering what it would look like as a cane head..great I think but am not sure what to fill the holes with...will have to do some research i guess. All these canes I have done in the past I have given away as gifts and I don't have one for myself. I'd like to make this banksia one to see how it may turn out.
I've also done some carving with cape cod signage but haven't done one in a while..have just been concentrating on the cane work, they're like art pieces when they're done!
