« Part 1: "New" Table Saw- Rockwell Unisaw 34-761 Part 2 of My Journey Into Woodworking series no next part

Just a quick update: Got the table saw a new switch and cables, and got it wired up for 110v operation while it is still my only option. Got new elevation and bevel wheel lock knobs(neither actually work but I feel better having them), some leecraft zero clearance inserts(one for .125 kerf, and one for DADO), a Micro-Jig splitter, a “decent” combo blade, and rigged the fence up with some formica counter-top laminate samples. The Unisaw is now slicing with accuracy to the tune of +/- 0.00025” over @16-27/32”. Close enough I suppose…

I also picked up a used Delta 37-866×6” Jointer with mobile base, and a new Dewalt DW734 planer. I have been thoroughly disappointed with the knives on both but will be installing byrd shelix heads on both in the near future. Otherwise they seem to perform as advertised. I got some other new toys, but most of it is just push blocks and similar safety equipment.

I have a few 10 and 11 foot 9-11 inch wide 3/4 rough sawn walnut slabs and a few bd-ft. of 4/4 cherry I am going to use for some projects in the near future. Probably as soon as I get my jointer and planer knife situation resolved.

Pictures coming soon!
