Well the flee market was a big flop.I set under a canopy all weekend with temprature hitting around mid to upper 80s, and did I ever suffer afterwards. I didn’t sell any of my works, but I did get a commission to burn a portrait. So far it is looking preety good even to my standards. I have taken off a few days to try and recouperate from this past weekend. I even worked at our VFW chicknick BarBQ. We had a real good turn out and even that did me in a little. So give me a little while to get my strength back and I will be back burning as soon as I get my wind back.
I watch all your entrees and read as much as I can on how you all are doing. Looks like you are really making our site a very special place to keep intouch and to push all of us to our very best and I’m really seeing some outstanding works from all of you. You all are a big part of my family and I am proud to say that all of you has made a big influence in my work and life.
I’ll be back real soon. Your LJ friend
Jim

Jim, sorry to hear that you suffered the heat and didn’t sell any of your work. I can’t believe it, but then again the consumer can be fickle at times. Congratulations on your commission! Please, take care of yourself! Thanks for the update, too.

Dont get down Jim. Da Wife is somewhat of an artist (painter) and several years ago we set up in a flea market. The patrons were looking for “deals” and were not looking for pieces of art.

Sorry it took so much out of you Jim, but glad you were able to go. I bet your work would go better at a craft show instead of the flea market. Maybe there will be one of those in your area soon.
Congratulations on your commission.
