95 posts in 155 days Location: Nacogdoches, TX My name is Eric and I live in Nacogdoches, Texas. I was born and raised here before I moved to College Station, Texas where I attended Texas A&M University and studied Architecture and Design. I recently graduated in May of 2012 and moved back home where I am working in a small architecture firm in town. I have always been good with my hands and enjoyed working in my fathers general shop (not a woodworking shop). With my experience I began working in a wood and metal workshop owned by Texas A&M while I was in school. Eventually, after I became the Student Manager of the shop, I was able to acquire some extra time in the shop to do whatever I wanted to do. It was at that time when I began getting interested in woodworking. Once I graduated, I had to leave the wonderful A&M shop behind and I no longer had access to a Powermatic table saw, Festool Miter Saw, CNC Router and other amazing tools that are there. So, since I moved home I have slowly been building my workshop and acquiring tools with what spare money I had at the time. I still consider myself a beginner and am excited about learning more and more about this great hobby (hence the reason why I joined this site). Because I often get asked questions by new members I’ve included the answers to the most( FAQ) along with my welcoming message to LJs.
You should know that posting questions or projects here (your profile page) will not get you very many responses’ just because it’s your profile page not part of a main forum. To post in a main forum read below.
Want to know how to post something?
See the drop-down box underneath my Lumberjocks in the upper right hand corner. Click on the arrow and select which type of posting you want to make (Project, Blog entry, Forum topic). This will take you to the appropriate page and you just fill in the form.
Sending Private messages(PMs) to other members
Click on the word” home” next to the profile picture of the member you want to contact ,then click on “send message”
