I was just reading the ingredient label on a box of Tylenol. I noticed it contains carnauba wax, titanium dioxide, shellac, and powdered cellulose not to mention some starch and aluminum lake blue coloring and glycol.

That got me to thinking (yeah, I know my thinking is questionable) but powdered cellulose is wood fiber, i.e. saw dust. A little shellac mixed with sawdust, some wax and glycol… the titanium dioxide is the pigment for white paint and the aluminum lake is a nice shade of blue coloring. So what I really have here is a pain reliever that does double duty as a wood finish or filler that has a tint all its own—baby blue. hmmm, any market for that?

Okay, it is just one of those evenings where things weren’t coming out quite square and I drifted off a bit…

back to making some powdered cellulose… best headache remedy devised.

Amazing mark up on what could be defined as shop droppings.

Seems like you could make some in the shop after the next woodworking project!

Aluminum is also a nero-toxin that can cross the blood brain barrier if you happen to have some citric acid laying around, say if you down it with orange juice.

Yummy
