no previous part Part 1 of catalpa log series no next part

Catalpa log 27 inches diameter at the small end.The tree was in the front yard but to close to the house.Bet their is a lot of good lumber in that.We shall find out.

The crazy looking old guy in his PJs is my Dad.He has Alzheimers and probably knows more about lumber than most people with a perfect brain.No need for disrespect…...And I went ahead and took the photo down.

Catalpa is an excellent “carving” wood. you could season it and sell it as that! ;-)
