ok, so i’m putting the brakes on the walnut dresser project but building a mahogany bed to complete my bedroom set. can anyone suggest which surface mount bed brackets are good enough to use? lee valley has some but i’m not sure which to choose. according to fine woodworking the mortise hinge that is commonly used is not strong enough(something about end grain not having good strength for screws to bite into—on the rail part of the bed)

I used the following surface mount brackets on the bed I built for a VERY ACTIVE 3 year old and the bed is still rock solid for the past 7 months
