Beautiful. Mahogany is so warm and inviting.

i’m working on a mahogany tv stand, and finishing is all i have left. unfortunately i haven’t decided what to use on it. leaning towards Watco danish oil. my mahogany isn’t as dark as i would like.

i would like to try a dye stain because you can get darker with every coat you put on but i worry about the uniformity of it. i like this guys finish though, tell me what you think of this one: this one was also mahogany i think under the chest category

that’s definitely nice. I’d be more than happy to finish mine that way.
I’m very inexperienced with finishing. I try to stay away from stains. I was hoping to use just Arm-R-Seal, but it’s not getting my mahogany dark enough. I’m thinking a couple coats of natural Watco danish oil then a few coats of Arm-R-Seal might be my plan.
I was worried about the mahogany plywood finishing darker than the hardwood, but that’s how it is in that pic, and that looks good.

I’m not sure if you will get dark enough that way . Gel stains or dyes might be your best bet
