« Part 1: Initial thoughts and design Part 2 of Mobile Planer Cart series no next part

After taking in everyone’s comments (thank all of you very much), I decided to make the base design flexible so that I can use any type of extension tables I want. For the most part this meant making the base square, as the base orientation will change depending on which type of table I decide to use.

This is the base without any tables. I will probably start with just this as I probably will not need any king of extension table in the near future.

Below is an image of the stand with the long infeed and outfeed tables. It shows one of the tables folded up:

And finally the stand with the Woodsmith type outfeed table:

The planer will have to be rotated 90 degrees between the two versions. So the footprint of the base is square 25” each side. As always you comments and suggestions are welcome.

If you eliminate the top drawer, you wouldn’t have to rotate the planer on top.
