Just a guy that loves the smell of saw dust and a good challenge. I like making unique things that require a lot of design thought and plenty of patience. Since Woodworkers Source is only 2 miles from my house, I find it way too convenient to shop for exotic woods ... I spend a lot of time window shopping.
My shop is my 20 x 20 garage, and in Phoenix the temperature outside in the summer months of July - September remain above 100 degrees. Way too hot for me.
I tried to do at least one complex project per year, plus a bunch of little ones. Now, I need to give up my hobby. My health makes it almost impossible to move about in the shop. I have already put many of my larger tools on craigslist. Sad to see them go.

A little planning paid off. My 4 X 8 pegboard fit perfectly under the cabinets. The cabinet doors are heavy, and the vinyl is starting to separate on a couple of them. But, I was finally able to start unpacking some of my hand tools. Now I ...
Finally some progress. First, I installed 3 florescent T8 2-bulb fixtures so I could see what I was doing. The inherited kitchen cabinets needed some fixing. Vinyl veneered 1/4” particle board is not my idea of great cabinetry, but they were...
I really thought that the workshop would begin taking shape in October. Well, nothing has changed. Just take a look at the shop after the “Move”. Temperatures here in Phoenix have been a little too warm. I was a little under the wea...
Back in June of 2005, I was offered a job in Phoenix. My wife and I flew out to find a place to live. We had 3 days. The night of the last day we finally found a house to rent. Never had been to Phoenix, but trusted our instincts. Back to Minne...
