So many of you may have noticed I havent been around the site much lately. This has been due to many things not the least of which has been the shortage of funds to set up shop properly.
Well today I decided enough is enough and started the the task of getting the basement prepared for life as a wood shop. In bloging about this I’m hoping to maybe give some inspiration to some and advice from others. This building up of this work space will be an at times fast process at others slow.
One of the first orders of business well be to start on tearing out some of the feeble attempts of pervious owners of the home to make this space a living area. Seeing as how the this is the basement of 1800’s home the basement is not well suited for living space but will work just fine as work space.
I hope to have some pictures up soon to share and possible get some ideas from but tell then thanks for stoping by.
Cheers and regard
Jason

This is an exciting point in time for you I’m sure. Even if you don’t post pictures here, take them for your own reference. When you get your shop set up the way you like it, the pictures will come in handy to remind yourself of where you started and all of the work you accomplished.
I still have a lot that I want to do to improve my shop but when I look at the pictures of what it used to look like, it helps me to appreciate where it’s at now.
Also, remember its about the journey and not just the destination.
