What started as a mail organizer concept, turned into a completely different project. My wife and I refer to these as “but first” projects.
I had a board ready to run through my table saw mounted router, but first I decided it was time to control the dust. I searched, researched, and experimented for days. What I found was a woodpeckers router top for $50 on Craigslist. But first, all it needs is a cabinet, then it will be easy to control the dust!
So now it’s 2 weeks later, and I’m a few steps away from starting that mail organizer on my stand-alone router table…but first…

You’ve been paying attention to too many news broadcasts: ”...but first…” :) LOL
I can relate.
