Relatively new to woodworking. I initially got into it out of necessity during a remodel project of our first house. I built all the bathroom and kitchen cabinets, a dresser, and various shelves, etc. Initially I hated it, but as I did more projects and realized that I could actually make some pretty impressive pieces, I started to really get into it. I am an engineer by trade, which I think really helps me think out designs and figure out how something is going to work.
I tend to be mostly interested in finish carpentry, built ins, moldings, etc, but I really appreciate finely crafted and designed furniture and look forward to building my skill set.
