I am a 42 year old father of 4 and husband of 25years, yes 25 I married my high school sweetheart. I was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in july of last year (2008). I had surgery and chemo and I believe the lord spared me because the docs cant believe that I am near back to normal with one big scar and a terrific story of GODS healing ability. My small woodshop got me through the 6 months of chemo by helping me forget how crappy I was feeling. I love working with wood and why not get something from this cancer the wife doesnt care how often I am in the shop now lol... No all kidding aside and cancer stuff wood workers are great people and I am proud to be one.

Hi Duane,
Thanks for the info on the shopsmith and we have a lot in common. I am also recovering from head and neck cancer and finished my chemo and radiation treatments 15 weeks ago. My recovery has been slow because of mouth sores cause by the radiation but last week they said I was cancer free. The Lord does work in mysterious ways. I look forward to seeing your work. Take care. One thing the Cancer has taught me is to stay positive, and it works.
