I have been woodworking for about a year now, and am enjoying it. I don't have very expensive tools but that suits me fine. I have fiddled with them until they do a good job.

1950's Craftsman 10" Cabinet/Floor Saw($125 from a friend)
1985 Rockwell 14" bandaw with a riser block($250 at an auction)
1980's Craftsman 6" Jointer($125 from CL)
Used HF 15" planer($80 from eBay)
Used HF Benchtop Drill Press($60 from eBay)
1980's Craftsman pipe lathe 12"x36"($125 from CL)
New Ryobi 10" miter saw($120 from HD)
Used Powermatic 15" Scroll Saw($60 from eBay)
1980's Black and Decker Circular Saw(free from a friend)
Used Skill Jig Saw(free from stepdad)
New HF Random orbital sander($35 from HF)
1980's Black and Decker Handheld Belt Sander(free from a Garage Sale)
Used Delta Bench Belt Sander/Disc Sander($15 from a Garage Sale)
New Craftsman 2hp Router w/ table($150 from wife)
New Dremel($100 from wife)
Used Shop Fox Mini Lathe W1704($80 from a pawn shop)
Used NailGuns Framing, 18ga, 15ga and stapler($80 form a pawn shop)

See the drop-down box underneath my Lumberjocks in the upper right hand corner. Click on the arrow and select which type of posting you want to make (Project, Blog entry, Forum topic). This will take you to the appropriate page and you just fill in the form.

Welcome to lumberJocks. You got more tools than some and the good part is they were cheap. Cheap tools don’t always mean cheap tools if you know what I mean. A good WW can take cheap tools and make masterpieces from wood. A bad one can’t do that with the most expensive tools made. Rem the story of the old fiddle?
