Greetings to all !!!

I have been working with wood since I was in my early teens....building bird houses. I built a ton of them, and still build one ocassionally. I've been involved in arts all of my life. I spent 4 1/2 years in a monestary, where I picked up the Art and Craft of Woodcarving. I spent 2 1/2 of those years carving designs in and for the new altars that were built for the chapel. After leaving the monestary in 1965, I kept up my woodcarving, but instead of carving religious statues and the likes, I turned to carving wild life and other things of interest to me and others..... which takes in almost anything. I have always needed it to suppliment my income.... as a result I use to do many craft shows, and that would result in doing some custom work....such as gunstock scenes and name signs and names and things like that. The best
way for people to get a good look at a lot of my work is to go to my web site......http://dlcarver.etsy.com. Although I will show a lot of my work here at LumberJocks.I probably have already given away my age.... I will tell you that I am breathing real hard down the 70 year stretch. I've had my share of heart problems with a double by-pass, a stent, and 2 aneurysms on the back of my heart. I died twice on the opperating table and have been a mircle case ever since. I know for sure that
I am on borrowed time. I am married to the woman who has saved my life (literally) for 41 years this July. We have a boy and a girl in their late thirtys and one grand child. I am a retired welder and machine builder after 35 years. After 47 years of carving I still love working with wood. Looks like I am going to like L J. ........REGARDS TO ALL!.....Dave

PS. I JUST WANTED TO MENTION THAT EVERYTHING I LIST IN MY GALLERY IS FOR SALE (OR ONE SIMILAR).... UNLESS IT IS MARKED NFS. (NOT FOR SALE) IN THE TITLE DISCRIPTION. IF INTERESTED, EMAIL ME. I AM NOT EXPENSIVE FOR THE QUALITY OF WORK I DO, BUT I DO HAVE SOME RATHER EXPENSIVE ITEMS.... AS SOME MAY THINK. I ONLY ACCEPT PAYPAL.... WHO IN TURN WILL ACCEPT ALMOST ANY CREDIT CARD. THANKS DAVE!

Please be patient with me… I am somewhat slow in figuring things out and getting things done. Time is my enemy….as I seem to have little of it….even though I am retired, I still get my time to rest.
THANKS FOR THE COMMENTS!... Regards Dave
