Excellent collection of hand tools Derek.

Wayne, don’t be drooling on those planes. You know how much work it takes to get the rust off of them…

Derek,

You have a nice shop and a wonderful collection of hand tools. Use of hand tools is something of a lost art among a large portion of this community. It is refreshing to see someone who prefers using hand tools with which to work wood. Very commendable.

Thanks for the post.

Many thanks for all the very kind comments.

In recent months I have begun rebuilding the workshop – first time in 12 years. The latest cabinet to go up is dedicated to spokeshaves, plough planes and braces.

Dovetailed carcass in Pine, dressed up with Jarrah doors and fittings. Internals are sliding dovetails and stopped dados. Everything cut by hand.
