Wood Magazine Tool Cabinet

This was one of my first woodworking projects. I just wanted to throw up a picture of it for now, since there were a few others who were posting their version of the same project…

I made some mods and I actually only went by the pictures I saw on the internet. It was only later that I picked up one of the workshop storage editions that had them in there. The platforms slide out and sit on a collapsible workbench that is then stored on the back of this using dowels. I have only recently added the screw storage bin to it, but its been a big help…Ill add more pictures later when I can get some better picturs.

Clamp Rack

This is from the most recent shopnotes magazine (summer 2009). It was a great project to work on and it allowed me to get rid of some scrap sheet stock I had laying around. It is all in MDF, with the back pieces 5/8 OSB. The magazine has mods for the different clamp types, as well as additions for internal storage of C clamps, small f clamps, and hand screws…

I had trouble with some of the mdf…even though I predrilled everything, it still wanted to split on me…but its also glued, so I think there will be enough strength there…Now I just have to hang it…

Pencil and Business Card Holder #1

took the Wood whisperers pencil holder and added a little bit to it. I think next time I will add a little piece of wood to the front where I put the core groove. Overall I am happy with this…And I got the walnut pretty cheap cause it was leftovers…You cant see it in the pictures because of the angle, but I wrapped the grain around the holders so that on 3 sides there is a continuation from the side before it.
