Part 1: The Idea
My daughter who is 10 this month, has a ton of Webkinz and a while ago she asked me to make her something that she could put all of them on. So I was perusing a magazine that had plans for a crown molding shelf(mantel) and it looks really elegant and seemed like it would be fun, quick and easy to make. So I checked around and found I had enough scrap, and only had to buy a heyhole bit for my router(darn :) ).
Part 2: The Plan
Well, being a trusting sort, I started working through the plan as dimensioned. The first parts went together really well( these being the top, bottom and back). Then the time came for adding the molding around the front and sides. I soon discovered that the pieces were not lining up right as they should according to the diemensions and the pictures. And to top it off the boss was getting angry at me cause I was spending time doing that instead of getting ready for vacation…sigh. ...
