Just a few pics of the teaser box… shown in the “Sign With A Story” post..

This is made from silky oak for the posts and rails.. with Queensland Red Cedar panels…

Roughly based on a Neil Scobie design...

The glue up…

Just out of the clamps with the top resting on the box…

Bring out the colour and grain with some mineral turpentine….

Should I include another teaser…

OK

Camphor Laurel and Rosewood… chess board… doh…

Not fully finished yet …more to follow…so stay tuned…

Beautiful wood beautifully finished I like the oriental feel about the flared posts. Marc (Wood Whisperer) has used that to good effect on some of his pieces

I like the nice design especially the flare of the legs on the box! And the combo of the laurel and rosewood on the chess board is striking. It’s all about the wood!!

That is looking so good I’m thinking you must have laid off the beer for a couple of hours. :-)

LOVE THE BOX WITH SOME FINISH ON IT. WOW. IT DOES HAVE AN ASIAN LOOK TO IT. I DON’T KNOW ABOUT THE WOOD WHISPERERERER OR DOG WHISPERERER OR ANY OTHER WHISPERERER, AND I STILL CAN’T STOP YELLING SORRY, BUT I LOVE BOTH THE TEASERS. YOU DEVIL YOU.

Geeez, I wish nice wood grew like weeds here like it seems to down under. Great job you’re doing with it :-)
