« Part 1: Woodfix. Part 2 of LumberJocks I have met... series Part 3: Bob...#3 »

Well last week I was in Christchurch …. New Zealand…. and dropped in to see Moshe... and have a look at the workshop… I needed a wood fix.. away from the shop for a whole week…
Here are a couple of pics…

and had a closer look at his variation of the Step… very impressive… more so up close…
Enjoyed a cold beer with him and left with a few pieces of wood…
Nice bit of Rimu and a piece of recycled Matai..
Good to finally put a face and voice to the man.
I was going to do a vid of the workshop but as he is building a new house, it is crowded and messy and being used for storage…... lol… I let him off… but I will go back and take some shots of his new workshop…he tells me it will be twice as big and twice as nice…

I’m sure that beer just looks smaller in Larry’s larger hand. Doesn’t strike me as the sort for small beer.

That was my beer! yours was a special beer made but one of the best “big” breweries for the winter. it was Monteith’s winter ale (doppelbock)
