« Part 5: One for the toy makers. Part 6 of Maleny Wood Fest. series Part 7: Just a little timber in 2010 »

As something else to do.. A new feature.. a quick overview of one special woodworker selected for originality in design.. IMHO only..as you will be well aware there are many woodworkers who fall into this category … I had to pick just one.

This year at Maleny, Danny Madigan, from Wyndham Stumps in Moonie, Queensland, caught my eye and I have made a small vid just about him.

Yes the saddle is carved from a stump as well as the violin case at the back on the hay bale.

If you want more info about how to contact Danny just give me a yell..

Looks like a barber’s chair.

I’m speechless (almost). The comfort factor might not be high, but the originality and sense of humor certainly are. I think it takes a special talent to make rustic stuff. Especially rustic recliner chairs and violin cases! Fun to see. Thanks for posting Larry.
