« Part 4: Timber I bought! Part 5 of Maleny Wood Fest. series Part 6: Featured woodworker 2010 »

One of the stands that caught my eye at the Maleny Wood Expo was by Camphor Cottages..

they make Classic Timber Toys for kids of all ages….

The toys are made in northern New South Wales by Tom and Michelle and you can see them at

Byron Bay Markets on the 1st Sunday of each month or

Bangalow Markets on the 4th Sunday of each month

Great toys, the kids must love them. I hope the couple make a go of it selling these. Actually real wooden cars were once made here in Norway. I saw one at a car museum in Lillehammer. Not a bad idea either as they don’t rust and when it’s no longer runs you can just saw it up and burn it. (guess I got carried away there).
