Tonight I found out that Duane had been called to be with the Lord on March 10 2011. I had talked to Duane several times and I have a Cross he made in my shop. He was a good man and I am glad to have known him. I send my condolences to his family

I know he had been fighting that battle the entire time I’ve been on this site. I just went to his page. I didn’t realize he was that young. No time is good, but early 40s with young kids at home is just too young. I thought he had beat it. My heart goes out to his family.

Awful news, but … thanks so much for letting us know.

No more pain. No more troubles.

RIP, Duane.

While I didn’t know this brother LJ, losing any of us is a sad happenstance. My heart goes out to his physical family. His LJ family will miss him too.

I’m sorry to hear that; my thoughts will be with his family. However, at least he is no longer in pain and all his tears have been wiped away.

Sad news. Cancer is a very cruel disease, robbing the individual slowly of their vitality and identity.
Thank you devann for bringing this news to us, my thoughts go out to Duane’s family and friends and in particular to Grizzman, his great buddy who must be devastated too.
Rest in Peace Duane, a record of your existence lives on in the wonderful projects you made, and you are remembered as a craftsman, fighter and true human being.

Not sure how I missed this blog entry. I too had talked with Duane a few times. Knowing his family has lost him is a real punch in the gut…
