My sons gave me some gift cards for Lowes for Christmas, so I went to Lowes on Friday. I was wondering around looking at every tool they had. I saw the Delta bandsaws on clearence. My wife said to go ahead and get one. She gave the extra cash to me to get it. I put the bandsaw together with no problems. It runs great but has a little vibration that kinda bothers me, but I am going to try to get a new belt I think should take some of the vibration away. I hope to sell my old bandsaw this summer at the yard sale

I hope it works out and it runs great after you put a new belt on it.

Dennis, it is always exciting when we add a new tool to the shop. Delta makes some quality tools so I am sure you will have fun with your new saw.

Did the new belt help? If so, what did you buy? I just bought the same saw on clearance from Lowe’s (talked him down to $250, woohoo!) and I’m looking to dampen those vibrations as well.

I bought one of those link belts from Woodcraft. It was around $32. I helped to get rid of a lot of vibration. I still have some but sometimes it gets worse. I have checked the wheels for coplanar and the pulleys. I have checked both the wheels and pulleys for run out and all run within .005. The wheels are balanced. The only thing I can think of is the stand. I am thinking about putting some 3/4 MDF on the top between the saw and stand. Oh I think wood craft has the link belt on sale starting on Saturday. Yes I have found the sale paper, it is on sale for 24.99. It is called power link twist belt #145530. Today just messing around I resawed some hard maple 5” wide about .030 thick. It cut perfectly. I used a Timberwolf blade 1/4” with 6 TPI. I also have a Kreg fence and love it. Good luck on your saw and keep me posted on your new saw
