Today I had Christmas with my sons. Good to have them all together at one time. I made thier girlfriends pens and ornaments. They liked them very much. Today I started another wooden lock. Not quite sure what kind of wood it is. A friend gave me an old shipping skid, So I cleaned it up and checked for nails. Then planed down a few pieces for the lock front and back, I think it is hickory but not sure. I know it is very hard.

Post some pictures as the lock develops, it would be interesting to see the process.
