Began 20+ years ago with a hand-held scrolling jig saw. I am self-taught and have spent many an hour reading books from some of the masters. My uncle built grandfather clocks and also did turning. He was the initial inspiration. Now, after many tool gifts from my husband, the 2 car garage has transformed into a shop. My shop was featured in American Woodworking magazine (Feb/Mar 2011). Fretwork, intarsia and turning are what I enjoy most. I've built some small furniture and numerous requested projects. I am hoping to try my hand at steam bending this year. Most of my projects are gifts. I buy very little wood. If I am not scavenging, then I buy it at estate sales.
